Good deeds

Have you done any good deeds today? I remember a movie I saw, about the hindus world, where people taught that doing a good deed each day (Gute Tat) would compensate the bad deeds they have done during their life. This way, they were trying to make sure that they will have a peaceful next life. It was also very important for them to know what kind of being they could turn out to be in their next life. Of course, mean people turned out to be the worst beasts.

As you might already know (or not) today, 17th december was supposed to be the day that bloggers make a difference. Blogcatalog has challenged bloggers around to world to unite trough acts of kindness with the action called Bloggers Unite – Blogging for hope.

It was a simple quest: doing acts of kindness and blogging about a unique cause that they believe in. Maybe you have noticed, the only things I still seem to have hope for are nature related. I seem to have lost hope in people. And I know I’m very wrong. Despite everything, I should still trust and hope they will change and the world will change with them. But after all, I’d be happy to be a wild (free) beast in my next life.

Have I been kind today? I don`t feel so. Just nice… wich means I`ve been better than usual. :P I haven’t helped any homeless. I haven’t found a house for an orphan. I haven`t achieved world peace. But I carried a piece of paper home so I could trow it away in its rightful place. As I always do. I believe kindness is the things you usually do because you believe in them. Not something people urge you to do in a special day.

Nevertheless, we should never quit trying to figure out reasons for use to be kind and do our ration of good deeds.
